Recorded at the Lensic Theater in Santa Fe, New Mexico on April 5th, 2006.
Peruvian born Mario Vargas Llosa is internationally recognized for his culturally and politically charged novels. He has said, “I think literature is impoverished if it becomes cut from the main agenda of people, of society, of life.” After reading from his work, Vargas Llosa joins in conversation with Efraín Kristal, a professor of Spanish and comparative literature and a specialist in Varga Llosa’s work.
